A Remarkable Experience

Each year Oconee State Bank throws a party at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in support of their commitment to making kids better today and healthier tomorrow. In this week’s edition of Beyond the Cupola, Jessica Brown reflects on OSB’s recent trip to CHOA, and the impact it left not only on her but the entire OSB team.

A Remarkable Experience

At Oconee State Bank, we strive to create remarkable experiences that significantly mark the lives of others. It’s the foundation of who we are. It’s the constant that keeps our team connected and striving for the best each and every day. Every once in a while, we’re surprised to find that it’s our own lives being marked and are reminded of the significance that a remarkable moment can hold.

Each year over the past 5 years, I’ve had the amazing opportunity to help coordinate and experience OSB’s annual Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta party at Scottish Rite…and it never disappoints. Our team of OSB volunteers cheerfully walk into “The Zone” with high energy, a wagon full of decorations, crafts, and donated books from our team members, and hearts full of love to pour out. We leave with a refreshed energy, an empty wagon, and hearts that are even more filled than when we arrived! It’s the magic of CHOA. It’s the sparkle of a little face. It’s the look of overflowing gratitude in a tired mama’s eyes. It’s a truly remarkable experience; one that is sure to mark your life.

Our annual Oconee State Bank CHOA party is a favorite among our team members; everyone wants to go! For those that have the opportunity to go and make even the smallest difference for a child or their family, our time at CHOA is an investment with an ROI like no other. We are overwhelmingly thankful for the opportunity to have a small presence at CHOA and are proud to support them in their mission to make kids better today and healthier tomorrow.
