OSB Veteran, Rebekah Hammond, reflects on her more than 24 years of service at Oconee State Bank and shares why she loves her bank!

For nearly 25 years, Oconee State Bank has been an essential extension of my family.  I was only a teenager when I joined the bank, and am so thankful for the investment of key mentors and leaders that have allowed me to grow and learn over the years.

My first six months as a teller were very memorable and full of surprises!  Most are very fond memories filled with new friends, joy, and laughter.  One not-so-fond memory, however, was being the victim of a bank robbery at the age of 17.  During that challenging time, my Bank family surrounded me with love, care, and compassion, and over the years I’ve watched the Bank continue to pour into and show the same qualities for each team member, both personally and professionally.

For this and so many other reasons, #Ilovemybank!  It is with much gratitude and great honor that I serve my team and community at Oconee State Bank.
